Plants should always be planted in the regions they are native to. We encourage you to agree to the following easy planting guidelines with your purchase.

Our Healing Garden seeds have been selected by our staff ecologist to be high-quality and easy to grow. They have also been ethically sourced from native plant growers and collectors across the Carolinian Zone.

Your Healing Garden Kit has been designed to add colour to your yard, support truth and reconciliation, grow a pollinator sanctuary, get more climate-smart, and/or fill a tough landscaping spot. Our beautiful bandannas and totes were designed and printed by Indigenous creator Robin Henry at Antler River Press to showcase local native wildlife and plants, past and present.

Our 2023 seed mixture contains:

Brown-eyed Susan, Sweet Oxeye, Switch Grass, Virginia Mountain Mint, Wild Bergamot, Hairy Beardtongue, Monkeyflower, Blue Vervain, Common Milkweed, Swamp Milkweed, Great Blue Lobelia, Fox Sedge, Fringed Sedge, and Boneset.

For best results, plant your seeds in the late fall/early winter, or stratify your seeds in the fridge before a spring planting.

Your Healing Garden Kit also comes with:

  • Native wildflower seeds (15g per kit)
  • Instructions to grow your native seed garden
  • Planning a Wildlife Garden brochure
  • Native wildlife and plant bandana
  • Native butterfly tote bag
  • Native wildlife bookmark
  • In The Zone Yard sign
  • Butterfly sticker
  • Thank you postcard
  • Healthy Garden Points with In The Zone
  • Free standard shipping in Ontario

For every Dig In Kit purchased, we donate one to Indigenous Communities across the Carolinian Zone.
